Jillian & Seamus on their wedding day at Drumhalla House in Rathmullan

Here’s the Drumhalla House Wedding Video Preview Film of Jillian & Séamus! Delighted to share this lovely wedding film as this was such a cool day with a fusion of styles and customs from an American Bride and and and Irish Groom.

Jillian gets ready at Drumhalla House in Rathmulllan

Bride Jillian Leigh Ruggiere got ready at Drumhalla House with family and friends including Maid of Honour Christie Long. They all stayed at this gorgeous house the night before the wedding and it was also set to be the scene of the evening reception later that day. Drumhalla house is one of the most scenic, alternative, wedding venues in Ireland. The historic venue dates from 1789 and is a superior and luxurious choice of setting for a perfect day.

At Kinnegar Beach the lads go for a dip in the Swilly!

Meanwhile groom Séamus was starting off the morning with a swim at Kinnegar Beach in Rathmullan only a short walk of a few minutes from Drumhalla House. Along with best man Declan Rooney the lads took to the water for a fresh blast of refreshing seawater from the Swilly to get themselves set for the day ahead.

St Mary’s Church in Ramelton

They celebrated their marriage at St Mary’s in Ramelton and family friend Fr Billy Hoyne carried out the nuptial Mass. Séamus’ dad gave a lovely rendition singing the Psalm in Irish during the mass.

Pulling a pint of Guinness in Conways Bar. I’m sure Séamus would have preferred a Football Special!

Photographer for the day was Holly & Lime and after a quick pit-stop in Conways Bar it was over to the iconic ‘Football Special‘ building and sign in Ramelton. This popular spot has been used for wedding photos down through the years but was a little extra special today. Groom Séamus is the 4th generation of the McDaid family involved in the popular soft drink and is now the Managing director of the company so there was no way we would be passing this spot for a few photos!

Afterwards it was back to Drumhalla House for an amazing drinks reception. There was a fantastic spread of foods, drinks and cocktails – and yes Football Special was on the menu! There was traditional Irish music to keep everyone entertained and for the more adventurous there were fresh oysters freshly collected and ready to eat on the Sligo Oyster Cart.

Drumhalla House only a short walk to Kinnegar Beach

This drinks reception with all it’s food was inspired by the custom from the USA but I wondereded how the guests would face into their sumptous meal straight afterwards! But not to worry, there was another great idea from the far side of the Atlantic and upon arrival into the reception venue the music started and the party got going immediately with lots of dancing to get the atmosphere going, and to build the appetites back up!

And the party gets going with this lively bunch

After the lovely meal at Drumhalla House the music was ready to go again and the Beefsteak Dancers were providing this part of the party. A great day was had by everyone here in Rathmullan and a big congratulations to the happy couple on their wedding day. Many happy years ahead for you both and so happy to be able to create this Drumhalla House Wedding Video for Jillian & Séamus.
