On a beautiful summer’s day, Monday, 22 July 2024, Roisin Clarke and Thomas Sewell celebrated their wedding in Co. Cavan. The happy couple traveled from their home in the USA for the big day but Roisin is no stranger to Ireland as her mum is from Cavan and dad hails from Dublin so making the trip to Ireland for her wedding was Roisin’s dream come true! Delighted to present their wedding preview film from this lovely Crover House Wedding.
The day began with an early start as the bridal preparations got underway at Roisin’s family home near Cavan Town. The bride and her bridesmaids were pampered with expert hair styling by Edel Hennessy and flawless makeup by Grainne Kindlon. As the morning progressed, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and anticipation, with a brief pause for breakfast. Before long everyone was ready, glowing with elegance and joy.
The groom, Tommy, along with his groomsmen and family, prepared for the day at a house they rented not far away. The excitement was palpable as Tommy shared moments with his brothers, friends and parents. The preparation was filled with lightheartedness and camaraderie, setting the tone for the rest of the day.
At 1:00 pm, Roisin arrived in a lovely VW Beetle and with Tommy they exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony at the majestic Cathedral of St. Patrick & St. Felim Cavan. The ceremony was a perfect blend of Irish tradition and personal touches, with surprise musical performances such as “Caledonia,” a gift for Tommy, and a special rendition of “Lady of Knock,” sung by Roisin’s younger cousin, Hannah. Family members were involved in every aspect, from the readings to the Prayer of the Faithful, making the ceremony a truly intimate and family-centred event.
After the ceremony, guests were whisked away to Crover House for the welcome reception. The beautiful lakeside venue provided the perfect backdrop for photographs and celebratory drinks. Despite the one brief rain shower it was a perfect day for a wedding in a very mixed summer so delighted we had a lovely day. And talented photographer Sean Gallagher was there all day to ensure that the happy couple will have a brilliant selection of amazing photos from this lovely Crover House Wedding.
Dinner was called at 5:15 pm, followed by heartfelt speeches from Roisin’s father, Paul Clarke, Tommy’s brother Danny, and Roisin’s best friend, Danny Wagner.
The Waxies provided live music for the reception, followed up by DJ Stevie Dee who also did a great job of introducing all the bridal party in their grand entrance into the ballroom. And Stevie also followed this up and acted as MC for the speeches which was a lovely touch.
As the night unfolded, scratch cards were given as favour and I heard a few delightful roars so assume a few people won a few euro! The guests celebrated well into the night, marking the beginning of Roisin and Tommy’s journey together as husband and wife. Crover House, with its picturesque scenery, was the ideal location to create lasting memories for all who attended this beautiful wedding.
