Heather & David’s Wedding
A big congratulations to Heather and David who were married in Ramelton on the 14th July 2014. I started off with a few aerial drone shots in the morning to get a feel for the location. Ramelton is characterised by the River Lennon flowing through the middle of the town, and of course the classic McDaid’s Football Special factory which is a staple for many wedding photographs down through the years.
The wedding service was celebrated by Rev Andrew Watson who I have had the pleasure of working with before in Donegal Town and in Dunfanaghy. It was a lovely personalised ceremony and included readings from family and friends.
Photographer was Danny Dougherty and able assisted by wife Lesley.
Afterwards it was off to the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny for the wedding reception. The Clanree is a 4 star hotel on the outskirts of Letterkenny. Being on the edge of town there is ample parking and it’s really easy to find on the Dry Arch Roundabout which is the meeting point of the roads connecting Derry, Ballybofey and South Donegal and Letterkenny Town Centre.
The Clanree Hotel has 2 options for the wedding with the MacGrianna and the Shellbridge suites so you can choose between smaller intimate weddings or larger events up to 500. But they ensure that there will only be one wedding per day which is a great consideration.
Many happy years ahead to Heather & David!
