Harvey’s Point & Carrigart Wedding Film
The area around Carrigart is so beautiful on any day but blessed as we were on Saturday 8th April with perfect wedding weather the region came to life!
A perfect day for the Wedding of local girl Áine Sweeney to Mayo Man Brendan Conlon.
Áine along with Bridesmaids Sinead Sweeney, Sharon Williams, Emma Martin, Siobhan Coll and Caitriona Patton got ready just down the road at home beside the famous Rosapenna Links Golf Course. Meanwhile the main man was getting prepared in a gorgeous rented house a short distance away with Kevin Conlon as Bestman and Nikki Williams, Michael Grufferty, Aodh Sweeney and Ciaran Sweeney.
The Flowergirls were Mia Sweeney and Isla Williams and Pageboys were Aodhan Sweeney and Liam Grufferty.
Readings at St John The Baptist Church were by Rena O’Hara and Claire Sweeney and the wedding mass was celebrated by Fr Micéal Mac Laifeartaigh, Fr Charlie Byrne and Fr John Durcan. Laura Conlon read the reflection after communion.
Photographer was Gerard McHugh from Ballybofey and after the happy couple were brought to the beach in Gerard McGirr’s amazing convertible the groom was to spring a surprise on Áine! Little did she suspect but the helicopter flying overhead was there on Brendan’s orders! After a quick glass of champagne it was into the heli and short journey and they were landing on the helipad at Harvey’s Point Hotel!
Horse racing fan Brendan got there in time also to watch the Grand National with the guests who had made Harvey’s in time.
The evening’s entertainment kicked off with the sounds of the Leeroy Brown band who performed a great high energy act getting everyone involved and keeping the party going.
Thanks to you both for selecting me to film and record your special day and many happy wishes to you both in the future – and better luck picking the winner in next year’s Grand National guys!
