A Beautiful Cashelard wedding on Wednesday, 14 August 2024, I had the pleasure of capturing the stunning wedding of Aoife Rooney and Stuart Smith, held in St Mary’s Church then the scenic surrounds of Harvey’s Point in Co Donegal.
The day began with bridal preparations at the bride’s family home about 10 minutes from Cashelard, where Aoife, alongside her bridal party—maid of honour Jaynell Anderson, and bridesmaids Grainne, Niamh, and Shannon Rooney—were pampered by hair stylist Lesley Granaghan and makeup artist Sinead Corrigan.
Aoife’s elegant dress from Pearls and Lace in Donegal Town perfectly complemented her Rainbow Club shoes and jewellery from Ennell Jewellers, Mullingar.
After an emotional morning filled with laughter and the exchange of special gifts, the bridal party departed for St. Mary’s Church in Cashelard, where Fr. Paddy & Rev Alan officiated a heartfelt ceremony. With the lovely voice of Meagan Lucas setting the tone, the couple exchanged vows in front of their guests who had travelled from all over Ireland and some from USA and Canada.
Following the ceremony, we headed to Rossnowlagh Beach with Photographer Paul McGinty of Ghorm Photography for some breathtaking bridal party shots before making our way to the reception at Harvey’s Point. The speeches included touching words from both fathers, the best man, and the groom. Then it was time for the always lovely banquet meal at Harvey’s which never disappoints!
The evening’s celebrations came alive with live music by Red Alert who had the floor hopping all night. The décor by Simply Divine Weddings, flowers by Island Blooms, and cake by Maddy’s Sweet Treats added to the magic of the day, creating a perfect backdrop for Aoife and Stuart’s wedding at this Harvey’s Point and Cashelard Wedding.
Thanks for selecting me for this lovely wedding in Cashelard and onto Harvey’s Point and many happy wishes for the future.
