Thankfully the weather forecasters got it wrong for the Bank Holiday Monday for the wedding of Caroline McLaughlin and Peter McCormick. The only problem was that occasionally the sun was a little too bright! But like any An Grianan Hotel Wedding I knew it was going to be a great day!
Bridesmaids Catherine McLaughlin and Maria O’Neill looked after the lovely bride Caroline as they all got ready for the big day.
Meanwhile Best man George McCormick and groomsman Michael Doherty were getting the dapper groom all prepared for the wedding at the Sacred Heart Church in Muff, Co Donegal.
Photographers for the day was the Derry husband and wife team of Ali and Laura.
Ceremony in Muff for An Grianan Hotel Wedding
The cars were a really cool cream Volkswagen Beatle and camper van combination which brought the bride and her mum to the chapel and then transported the bridal party for the day after Fr John Farren’s wedding mass.
Readers were Gemma Duffy and Maura Gillen and then followed a touching reflection by Sinead McLaughlin. Church music was by Joanne and Finbar Doherty.
Reception Venue near Derry and Letterkenny
We travelled to a nearby forest for the photoshoot and then onto An Grianan Hotel in Burt for the Wedding Reception where we were treated to the usual tasty meal at this renowned hotel.
The entertainment was by the Brian McDermott Band who entertained the happy couple and the wedding party well into the night.
