Erin & John’s Wedding in Ballymote Sligo and Carrick on Shannon, Leitrim
Saturday August 13th took me to The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Ballymote in Sligo for Erin & John’s Wedding.
Bride Erin Lyons got ready just out the road at Drumlistna with the help of son and pageboy Sean Lavin and Bridesmaids Barbara Lyons Croker, Caroline ‘Kaz’ Bowen, Laurie “Larry’ Ward and Eleanor ‘Biddy’ Frawley.
John Lavin had Joe Lavin as Bestman and Groomsmen were Kieran ‘Tess’ Gormley, Michael ‘Tricky’ Mullen and Raymond Gallagher.
The wedding ceremony was celebrated by Fr James McDonough and readings were by Susan Spargo Derosiers, Pamela Lavin and Caroline O’Gara. Prayers of the Faithful were read by Chloe Lavin, Steven Lavin, Maolly Bowen, Amy Lavin. Gifts were brought to the altar by Nancy Gill and Jack O’Connor.
The music for the ceremony was by Marian Hanley and Shane McGowan.
Photographer for the day was Brian Duignan from Carrick-on-Shannon and after the ceremony we stopped off at the nearby Ballymote Castle.
Then onto the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon for a lovely meal and then entertainment from Raindance Wedding Band.
