Cíara and Adam’s love story traversed continents and cultures, culminating in a breathtaking celebration at the enchanting Hilton Park Country Estate, nestled in the serene Irish countryside near Clones, County Monaghan. This hidden gem served as the backdrop for their Irish and Jewish-themed wedding, drawing the couple all the way from their home in New Jersey, USA.
Bride Cíara O’Donoghue, originally from Ireland, had relocated to the United States for work. Fate intervened at a work event where she crossed paths with her future husband, Adam Finklestein, igniting a spark that would lead to their beautiful union. Their wedding was a harmonious blend of their distinct backgrounds, seamlessly intertwining traditional Jewish customs with Celtic traditions.
Preparations for the big day unfolded within the historic walls of Hilton Park. Cíara adorned herself in one of the estate’s stately rooms, with makeup by the talented Siobhan Macken and hair styled by Nicola Reilly. Her closest attendants included her mother, Mary O’Donoghue; father, Billy O’Donoghue; and bridesmaids Vincent O’Donoghue (brother), Kimberley Pal (friend), Lisa O’Donoghue (cousin), and flower girl Winifred O’Donoghue (niece).
Meanwhile, groom Adam readied himself in one of the grand drawing rooms, offering a picturesque view of the majestic front lawn. His support team included his mother, Carol Finkelstein; father, Robert Finkelstein; and groomsmen Michael Finkelstein (brother), Evan Krause (cousin), John O’Donnell (friend), and ring bearer/page boy Ryan Finkelstein (nephew).
As the anticipation built, the hope for favorable weather for their outdoor ceremony was realized with the iconic Child of Prague statue gracing the entrance. Janie Lazar officiated the touching ceremony in the meticulously manicured garden, overlooking a serene lake. The enchanting sounds of Glas Quartet filled the air, complemented by heartfelt readings, including the traditional Jewish Seven Blessings. Personalized vows were exchanged, followed by the customary breaking of the glass and an exuberant Mazeltov!
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds explored the estate’s picturesque grounds, from meadows to lakes to enchanting forest walks. Photographer Siobhan Byrne based in Wicklow captured these moments, resulting in stunning photo and video scenes. The evening continued with a delightful drinks reception and an impressive grand entrance into the reception room.
A sumptuous fine dining experience, courtesy of Yellow Door, was accompanied by a breathtaking floral display crafted by David McConkey. Soon, it was time to dance the night away, with the vivacious Harlequin band providing the evening’s entertainment. Their eclectic repertoire blended Bruce Springsteen’s New Jersey sound with Irish melodies, even featuring the energetic Horah dance, during which Cíara and Adam were raised high above the crowd in traditional fashion. Harlequin are consistently named one of Ireland’s absolutely best wedding bands for a reason and they never fail to keep the energy and the crowd going.
As the night concluded, heartfelt wishes for many joyous years together were extended to Cíara and Adam. We extend our gratitude to the couple for choosing us as their wedding videographer for this truly magnificent Irish Jewish wedding fusion-theme. Here’s to a future filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Slainte & Mazel Tov!
