Andrea Emmett and Declan McFadden, hailing from Co Donegal, embarked on a journey across Ireland in search of their ideal wedding location. Their quest led them to the remarkable Cloughjordan House in Co Tipperary, where their dream vision was fulfilled and I’m delighted to have been asked to be their videographer and to share the preview highlight video here.
This beautiful venue boasts an array of amenities right on-site, encompassing restaurant, a bar, a wedding reception area, a stylish barn for the ceremony, and picturesque outdoor settings within its expansive grounds. The quaint country house and the range of accommodation for guests added to the venue’s allure, encapsulating everything they had envisioned for their special day.
Just a stone’s throw away at Distillery Cottage, bride Andrea was joined by her companions Laura, Robyn, Aoibheann, and Niamh as they readied themselves for the momentous occasion. Melanie Byrne skillfully tended to their hair, while Ashley O’Rourke worked her makeup artistry. The beautiful floral arrangements, courtesy of Alcorns, added a touch of nature’s elegance. With the preparations complete, the radiant bride was set to embark on a brief journey to Cloughjordan House where Declan and the lads were waiting.
At Cloughjordan House, Declan and his companions Lee, Gilbert, and Paul made their final preparations. Welcoming the arriving guests, who had journeyed from various places to Tipperary, the atmosphere brimmed with excitement for the upcoming celeremony and celebration. Tom Farrell from Spiritual Ireland officiated the proceedings, setting the stage for the forthcoming ceremony.
Heartwarming personalised readings by cherished family and friends graced the ceremony, as beautiful vows were tenderly exchanged. The enchanting ritual of a Celtic handfasting unfolded, followed by the first kiss shared by the jubilant couple, which resounded in the day’s most exuberant cheer.
As they strolled down the aisle, a whimsical bubble machine commenced, enveloping them in a cascade of bubbles, accompanied by applause and jubilant cheers.
Following a swift and picturesque photoshoot by Declan Devlin Photography within the sprawling grounds of Cloughjordan House, the moment arrived for guests to gather and socialise during the lively drinks reception. Soon after, everyone assembled in the reception area for the speeches. Defying convention, the joyful couple chose to have just two speeches—one from each of them—adding a unique touch to the proceedings.
With appetites whetted, the attendees indulged in a splendid wedding meal. As the merriment continued, the Panoramics band kicked off the festivities, and the couple showcased a fun first dance. The exuberant crowd revelled into the night, ensuring a celebration to be remembered.
It’s a long way to Tipperary – but it was certainly worth the journey!
