As Storm Doris had abated and the sun started peaking out again the scene was being set for the wedding day of Aileen & Paul. Luckily the Child of Prague had listened and gave us a break here on the Wild Atlantic Way at the Radisson Blu Rosses Point!
On the morning of Friday 24th February 2017 Bride Aileen Gallagher was getting ready at the family home at Drimcoe in Mountcharles, with the help of Bridesmaids Ciara Gallagher and Marie-Louise Neary. Photographer Barbara McGroary was at the house when I arrived and the bottles of bubbly were starting to pop!
Michael Gallagher of Donegal Wedding Cars soon arrived with his silver Mercedes cars and it was off to the Church of the Sacred Heart in Mountcharles.
At the Church Groom Paul Glynn was in the company of best Man Keith Glynn and Groomsman Eoin Glynn and welcoming the guests. Fr Joe O’Donnell celebrated a lovely nuptial mass. Readings were by Emma Mulhern and Michelle Glynn and music was by the talented Deane Conaghan and Zara Montgomery. The Offertory Procession was by the mothers Marie Gallagher and Esther Glynn. Then a communion reflection was read by Nicola Mullreany.
After the ceremony it was of to Rosses Point for a photoshoot with a stunning backdrop and then onto the reception at the nearbyRadisson Blu Rosses Point – Radisson Blu & Spa hotel.
Entertainment was provided after the meal by 2015 & 2016 Weddingsonline Wedding Band of the Year award winers Pink Champagne Wedding Band and the lively crowd partied away for the night!
