Short version!

Under the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) we are required to to let you know exactly what we do with your personal information. In summary, we only collect the information we need to reply to enquires,shoot your wedding, and deliver your film(s) We don’t spam and we never share any personal information with any third parties.

Enquiry forms
We only collect information to reply regarding availability and to gather information to provide a quote for wedding videography services. We may send emails to follow up with you. We won’t send you mass-marketing emails and do not pass on your information. We will only ever contact you regarding the event you get in touch about. Our email, client management software, website, film hosting company, and computers are all GDPR complaint.

Booking form
We gather the data we require to fulfil our contract with you and have the information needed to shoot and deliver your wedding. Again there’s no sharing or marketing. We retain data indefinitely for our own business purposes such as accounting but of course we will always anonymise your details on request.

Your film
We hold your film(s) on secure local hard drives and also on a cloud host which is GDPR compliant – by default this is indefinitely. You will be sent a private link for this cloud hosted film. You can request a password for further security if you wish.

You can move the films into your own free cloud account, and download to your computers/USB drives and we will delete our copies on request.

Your consent will be requested before posting anything publicly online but I hope that’s ok with you as that’s how future brides can get to see my work!

Basically I’m not going to spam you and always want to keep your data as secure as possible.

If you wish for further privacy just ask and I’ll do everything I can to make sure you are happy with the level of privacy you require.

Name and Contact Data. We collect your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other similar contact data.

In Short: Some information – such as IP address and/or browser and device characteristics – is collected automatically when you visit our Sites.

This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Sites and other technical information. Our film hosting servers and booking management software hosting companies are located in United States. Under GDPR requirements this is allowed and any companies used will be GDPR complaint. If you are accessing our Sites from outside United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we may share your personal information in United States, and other countries.
5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements).
Potentially we may hold on to any data indefinitely to reduce the risk of deleting legitimate data. However on request we will delete any data gathered as soon as we are able.
In regards to your films these will be stored indefinitely by me for a backup purpose locally, they will also be available to you on the link supplied to you. However it is important that you backup your own wedding films also.
Should you require that any data stored on you be anonymised please let me know and I will delete any personal information held on you.
6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Sites is at your own risk. You should only access the services within a secure environment.
Where I store cloud based data this is secured with passwords, touch ID, and in the event of a loss these devices can be overwritten remotely.
