Grainne and Owen’s winter wedding on December 9th was a true celebration of love and warmth in the frosty December weather. The ceremony took place in the picturesque village of Cliffoney, followed by a reception at the Radisson Blu Rosses Point in County Sligo. Despite the chilly temperature outside, the atmosphere inside was filled with joy and fun as the happy couple exchanged their vows and celebrated with their loved ones. I’m delighted to share the preview video of this lovely wedding day here
The bride started her special day by getting ready at the family home, located only a short distance from the Church of St Molaise in Cliffoney. She looked stunning in her dress, from Pearls and Lace, and paired it with a pair of shows from Rainbow. Her hair was styled by Catherine Gormley Hair, and her makeup was applied by Marcella McGovern.
As she made her way to the church, she was accompanied by her Maid of Honour, Sinead Loughlin, and her Bridesmaid, Niamh Mac Hale. The page boys, Fionn and Rian Loughlin, looked adorable in their matching outfits as they walked down the aisle.
Groom, Owen Daly, was also preparing for the big day nearby just outside of Tullaghan in County Leitrim. He was accompanied by his best man, Mark Daly, and groomsman, Pauric Daly. The guys had a few quick photos taken outside in the frosty weather to capture the moment, and even took a sip of whiskey to warm themselves up! The photographer for the occasion was Fergal McGrath. Once they finished with the outdoor photos, it was back to the house to get set for the day ahead.
This winter wedding took place at St. Molaise Church in Cliffoney, with Fr. Christy McHugh conducting the ceremony. With a 12pm wedding ceremony time, the couple decided to have an earlier ceremony to take advantage of the natural light, with the hope of capturing some beautiful sunset photos and wedding videography after the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful, filled with love and emotion.
After the nuptial Mass, the couple and their bridal party made their way to Mullaghmore and Horseshoe in Glenade for their photography session. The location was perfect for capturing the stunning scenery and the beautiful winter light. The couple was able to take some breathtaking photos that they will treasure for a lifetime. The natural beauty of the location and the perfect timing of the ceremony allowed the photographer, Fergal McGrath, to capture some truly magical moments.
It was a delight to be a part of the team for this beautiful wedding. Alongside us, there were other vendors who helped make the day special. Ailin’s Flowers in Kinlough provided the stunning floral arrangements, Glendale Limousines provided the transportation, Olivia O’Hanlon provided the church music, and I Do Wow decor by Lisa Boyle took care of the decor.
The reception was held at the Radison Blu hotel in Sligo, where the guests enjoyed a lovely meal and speeches. After dinner, the party was kicked off by the Cufflinks band, who kept the dance floor packed all night long.
Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable winter wedding, and we are grateful to have been a part of it. We extend many thanks to the couple, Grainne and Owen, and we wish them all the best for a long and happy future together.
