On Friday, 21 April 2023, Catherine Gallagher and Brian McDermott exchanged their vows in a beautiful ceremony that took place at St Agatha’s Church in Clar. The wedding was a day full of love, laughter, and joy, and I was honoured to have been given the privilege of producing their wedding video for this lovely wedding on the North West Coast of Ireland which had a really cool Wedding Fireworks Display to top off a great wedding day.
The day started with the bride’s preparations at home in Ballinaglack, Ballybofey, Co Donegal, surrounded by her bridesmaids, including her Maid of Honour, Geraldine Gallagher, and her Flower Girl, Emily Gallagher. The other bridesmaids included Kate Corkery, Elizabeth Reid, and Áine McGlynn.
The bride’s makeup was expertly done by Niamh Frain, and her hair was styled by Meghan Laird. Catherine wore a stunning wedding dress from Pearls and Lace, Donegal, and her bridal jewelery and Brian’s watch were from A. Hartmann & Sons, Galway, while her engagement ring was from The Antiques Room, Galway.
The groom and his groomsmen got ready at the Harveys Point Hotel on the shores of Lough Eske. Brian’s Bestman was Patrick Kirrane, and his Groomsmen included Ciaran McDermott, Stephen Ryan, and Joseph Cunnane, while the Page Boy was Adam McHugh. The groom and his entourage wore sharp-looking suits from Tomorrow Menswear, Derry. The wedding bands were from Egan Jewellers in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
The ceremony was held at 1 pm at St Agatha’s Church and was celebrated by Fr Anthony Briody. After the ceremony, the reception was held at Harveys Point, where both dads, the best man, and the groom gave very entertaining speeches before the meal. The reception had live music from the band Catch 22.
The photography was done by the always excellent Paul at Ghorm Studio Photography, while the flowers were arranged by The Flower Shop in Stranorlar. The transportation was taken care of by family and friends’ cars, while the church music was by Without Willow. The children were well taken care of with a supervised play area from Fun’n’Frills, while Sean Magee provided drinks reception music.
Overall, Catherine and Brian’s wedding was a beautiful and memorable day filled with love and joy, and I am delighted to have been able to capture it all in their wedding video. It was a pleasure to work with such a wonderful couple, and I wish them all the happiness in their future together.
Weddings are a joyous occasion, filled with love and celebration. And what better way to end a magical day than with a stunning fireworks display? As a wedding videographer, I have seen firsthand how fireworks can add an extra touch of magic to a wedding video. I had the pleasure of capturing Catherine and Brian’s wedding, where they had a magnificent wedding fireworks display provided by Pains Fireworks. The display was the perfect end to their special day and made for a truly breathtaking moment to include in their wedding video. All the best in the future to this lovely couple.
