Linda Travers and Kevin Lennon were married in St Eunan’s Letterkenny Cathedral in Co Donegal on 23rd June 2017. The wedding mass was celebrated by Fr Eamonn Kelly who also composed a lovely personalised poem to the couple.
Getting ready with the bride at the family home in Laghey was Chief Bridesmaid Avril Travers. Also on hand were Bridesmaids Clare Louise Cullen and Caroline Lynch. One the prep was over, and a few family photos taken it was time for the last minute checks! Then the bridal party were driven to Letterkenny Cathedral in one of Peter McLean’s lovely cars.
Groom Kevin was in the company of Alan Pender as Best Man and Groomsmen Brian Lennon and Eoin Lennon. They boys were at the Church in good time. And Bride Linda arrived as expected arrived fairly soon after them. No messing about and it was right into the ceremony!
Readers were Shane Walsh and John Quirke. Then it was onto the Gospel and a lovely personliased homily from Fr Kelly. After the vows the Offertory Procession was by Fionnuala Travers and Anne Lennon.
Music was by Deirdre McLaughlin and reflection was read by Edel Curran. Photographer was Gerard McHugh from Ballybofey. For photos we stopped off in Barnes Gap for a photoshoot before arriving at the beautiful Harvey’s Point Hotel. The little railway bride is a great spot for photos and right on the road so doesn’t delay the day.
Entertainment for the night was by the lively Big Jigs Wedding Band.
