Excited to share this wedding video at Virginia Park Lodge Co Cavan for Aran O’Connell and James Marrinan, filmed on Friday, July 12, 2024. This was a beautiful day filled with love, joy, and heartfelt moments.
The day began with the bride’s preparations at Virginia Park Lodge, where the talented Cara Cameron and Samantha Corcoran worked their magic on hair and makeup, starting early in the morning. The groom also prepared at the Virginia Park Lodge, allowing the me to easily capture both sides of the pre-wedding excitement in this picturesque wedding venue.
The venue itself is a very fine Irish Country House and Estate established in 1750 and its is beautifully elegant but also homely and comfortable. Owned by leading chef Richard Corrrigan the food is absolutely amazing too and there’s a vast garden of herbs, fruits and veg grown on site. Exploring the vast grounds there’s a also a nice looking fishing lake and a golf course so it was ideal for groom James to pop out for 9 holes of golf before the wedding!
The ceremony took place at St. Patrick’s Church in Lurgan, Virginia just down the road, where Aran and James exchanged vows in front of their guests. The ceremony, officiated by Fr. Frank Lloyd, was filled with touching readings and beautiful music by Debbie Kelly.
A memorable confetti toss added a festive flair as the newlyweds exited the church – a highlight scene in the wedding video at Virginia Park Lodge.
After the ceremony, family photos were taken at the church, with additional portraits captured in the lush gardens of Virginia Park Lodge. Photographer for the day was the talented Paul of Ghorm Studio Photography who is always great to work with.
The reception at Virginia Park Lodge was a lively celebration. The speeches began before the meal with heartfelt words from the father of the bride, the father of the groom, the groom himself, and the best man. Each speech was a mix of touching memories and joyful laughter, adding depth to the wedding video. The evening continued after the meal with the first dance to by music from The Mixtape Band.
