One of most beautiful wedding venues in Ireland and I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to film an Adare Manor Wedding Video Film during Summer 2020.
Interesting fact about Adare Manor is that it is a calendar house. It features 365 windows and 52 chimneys, among some other design characteristics. Along the top of the building an extract of psalm 127:1 is made from carved stone: “Except the Lord build the house, then labour is but lost that built it”.
From the arrival at the gatehouse the day before the wedding rehearsal dinner until leaving the day after the after party this venue I must rate as one of Ireland’s top wedding hotels.
The wedding was a 3 day function so the couple kindly accommodated us videographers and the photographers in the Adare Manor Villas. These are lovely 4 bedroom houses on the Adare Manor Grounds. The Villas are beside the Golf Course and are a short 1km walk or a drive to the Carriage Rooms. The Villas are self catering which is ideal for wedding suppliers and guests. The rooms are all en-suite and there’s all the amenities such as washing machines & dishwasher etc so perfect for a longer stay too.
Once settled in it was soon time for the wedding rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal was held in a beautiful traditional Irish Church just outside the Manor grounds. A tip here – you can park beside the gate inside the grounds, then use your keycard to open the gate and cross the street to the church. This is much easier than leaving the grounds and trying to find a parking space on Adare’s Main Street!
The Church was the Trinitarian Abbey – a 19th Century building on an original church foundation dating all the way back to 1226! And as a complete surprise to me I though that the Church Administrator looked very familar. As it turn’s out John Shovlin who takes care of everything in the church is a fellow Donegal man and I know all his family!
Then it was back over to the Manor (again so easily accessible from the small gate across the street). Here it was onto the Carriage House which is the restaurant and social hub of the Adare Manor Venue. The interior of this amazing building must be seen to be believed. There is a full width glass window overlooking the course and the manicured gardens. There’s a cocktail bar and lounge, a glazed terrace and a private dining chamber. it’s a really relaxed, intimate but also luxurious location with a beautiful Irish themed menu. A perfect spot for the rehearsal dinner.
Now thing’s are starting to get serious it’s suddenly the wedding day! The Bride and Groom both got ready in their rooms in the main Adare Manor building. This 5* classic manor house is so charming with lots of cosy little corners, streams of beautiful light and tasteful decor all over that would complement any wedding movie.
Filming an Adare Manor wedding video is so much fun, there’s so many beautiful locations all around the grounds and everyone is so helpful and friendly. The grand ballroom has an amazing staircase leading in from your own wedding entrance door. There’s a stunning room with lots of full length windows which a perfect bright and airy location for mingle for the drinks reception. If the weather is good there’s also an outdoor patio area to mix.
Once called into the main room then you are simply spoiled by the Michellin award winning food, attentive staff and an custom build function room that can be shaped to your own tastes and styles.
Respecting our client confidentially & discretion so is isn’t possible to share footage from the wedding but hopefully this gives a taster of this lovely wedding venue in the heart of Limerick. If you are planning an Adare Manor Wedding then please get in touch and I’d love to return to this beautiful venue anytime.
