St Patrick’s Chapel & Harvey’s // K&K

I had the pleasure to video the wedding of Katie & Kevin on Thursday the 20th April at St Patrick’s Chapel in Donegal Town.

The days events started with Groom Kevin Martin at home near Lough Eske outside Donegal Town. Pageboy Fionn Lanigan along with Groomsmen Shane McGlinchey, Eoin Lanigan and Gareth Britton made sure Kevin was looking well and was of to the Chapel in good time for the nuptial mass!

On the opposite side of town Bride Katie Mulhern was getting hair and makeup done by the very capable Tara Dorrian and Kerry Harvey. The Bridesmaids Emma Mulhern, Lauren Mulhern and Nicola Mulreany were enjoying the preparations and also with the Flower Girls Erin Lanigan and Alaia-Mai Carron. With the help of mum Bernie Katie got into her amazing Wedding dress  – this had a detachable portion and train – leaving a lovely sleek full length number after the wedding mass and the reception.

Off to the Church and Fr People’s celebrated an enjoyable mass with loads of nice personal touches with memories & stories and kind advice to the newlyweds. Readings were by Noel Cunningham and Geraldine O’Donnell and a Communion Reflection was ready by Niall O’Sullivan. Prayers of the Faithful were read by Dane Travers, Karen Peoples, Niamh Britton and Niamh Martin. The stunning music from the ceremony at St Patrick’s Chapel was by the Inishowen Gospel Choir who arrived with 20 members and all in full voice!

Photographer was the excellent Paul McGinty of Ghorm Studio who found a great location for some amazing photos in the shade of colourful Cherry Blossom trees.

Haveys Point at Lough Eske

Onto the Hotel where the Bride and Groom were greeted by Kevin’s Uncle Noel Cunningham who is general manager at the beautiful venue. As usual the staff, food and location was above par at the Lough Eske wedding destination.

After the dinner the Best Men Band performed with a little help from the Bride’s cousin Cathal who sang the first song. And in a break for tradition the band was followed not with a DJ, but with another Band! Keltic Kaos then performed well into the night.

Best wishes to the happy couple and all the best in the future!
