Harvey’s Point Pier Wedding // A&D

Harvey’s Point Pier Wedding of A&D: Love has a funny way of finding us when we least expect it. For Aishling O’Connell and Dermot McGlone, their journey began with a playful encounter at a bar. Dermie’s unique flirting technique involved standing up, flashing the loser sign on his forehead, and laughing from a distance. Little did they know, this amusing gesture would be the start of something beautiful. Aisling was immediately captivated, and their connection grew stronger with each passing day.

As fate would have it, Aisling and Dermie discovered they shared a deep love for rugby. Their mutual passion for the sport not only brought them closer but also became an integral part of their relationship. From cheering for their favorite teams to playing the game themselves, rugby became the backdrop against which their love story unfolded. The thrill of the game and the camaraderie it fostered added an extra layer of excitement and joy to their journey and the amount of rugby players at the wedding added to the party atmosphere!

When the time came to celebrate their love and commitment, Aisling and Dermie opted for a unique and picturesque location—the pier at Harvey’s Point on Lough Eske in Co. Donegal. With the tranquil waters as their backdrop and the serene beauty of nature surrounding them, they exchanged vows in a ceremony by Celebrant Barbara Allen that perfectly reflected their love for each other and their shared passion for the outdoors. Sean Magee provided the tasteful ceremony music and then moved over to the outdoor patio for the drinks reception.

Their love story, born out of a quirky encounter and nurtured by their shared passions, serves as a testament to the unexpected ways in which love finds us. May their journey continue to be filled with laughter, rugby-filled moments, and the soothing embrace of water—elements that have become the foundation of their extraordinary bond.
