The Gallerie Veranda at Cabra Castle is a beautiful choice of location for an outdoor wedding ceremony. The veranda is sheltered by the Castle tower and overlooks the manicured Mitzie’s Garden and the mature woodlands in the secluded grounds. Amy and Richie chose this lovely spot for their touching Humanist Wedding Ceremony in Co Cavan, Ireland. We got the go-ahead for the outdoor celebration the day before with the weather and despite a little rain at one occasion it was such a heart-felt and touching ceremony that it didn’t bother anyone!
Bride Amy got ready in a courtyard room at Cabra Castle and was attended to by Richelle Doyle, Eve Armit, Melissa Kirby, Molly Edwards, Sinead O’Brien and Fiona Lynch.
Pageboy was Luke Geraghty-Doyle who surprised groom Richie with a sign reading “No time to run, here Aunty Amy comes”!
Amy’s bouquet was from https://www.petalsandpressies.com and was wrapped in white fabric from Amy’s grandparents shirts and dresses – a lovely idea to have them a piece of them to accompany the bride on her wedding day.
The Brides dress was by https://bellemarieebridal.ie Make Up Artist was Annemarie Doherty and Hairdresser was Martina King.
Groom Richie from Newcastle also got ready in one of the rooms at the hotel and he was in the great company of Tim Eschle, Alex Ellwood, Paul Doyle, Stephen Waite, Liam Kennedy and Jordan Kelly. And a nice surprise for Richie to spot the Newcastle Flag atop the Castle!
The Ceremony was conducted by Billy Hutchinson and there were lovely moments when lighting Memory Candles and then the couple shared personalised vows with each other.
Family and friends participated with readings in the wedding ceremony at the Gallerie Veranda at Cabra Castle.
https://natalieturnermusic.com provided the music for the ceremony including the couples favourite song which was so meaningful and helped make this a lovely outdoor ceremony despite the little bit of rain in the middle!
Photographer for the day was Sharon Kee. It was my first time working with Sharon and it was a joy and I look forward to hopefully meeting again at future weddings.
After the meal it was time to get the party going and the lively Conor McKeon Band got things up and running with Fred Astaire’s ‘The Way you look tonight’ and then this brilliant bandgot things going with pop, motown, chart, swing and many more styles of music that had the dancefloor full all night.
