Congratulations to Elaine Monaghan from Pettigo and Tyrone man Richard Dolan who were married on Saturday 22nd October 2016.
Arriving at Elaine’s home near Pettigo I spotted her half and half GAA jersey – it was easy to see that the typical Donegal-Tyrone rivalry was not going to be carried into this great matchup! The stunning bride was attended to by Bridesmaids Louise Monaghan, Kirsty McGarvey, Michelle Grennan and Caroline Gallen and Flower-girls Ellie May and Dana Gallen.
On the opposition side Groom Richy had Ruairi McCallion, Kevin O’Brien, Stephen Dolan and Gary Monaghan as Groomsmen. Then it was off to St Mary’s Church in Pettigo where Fr Owen Joe McEneaney had a lovely personalised ceremony for the happy couple and this was complimented by beautiful chapel singing by Justin McGurk and Lawerence Connolly.
Readings were by Tini McMenimen and Sinead O’Brien and then the Prayers of the Faithful were read by Niamh Ryan, Pierce Lennon, Susan Farrell, Ciara Cassidy and Conor Travers. The Offetory Procession was then carried out but the mothers Anne Monaghan and Margaret Dolan.
Photographer for the day was Jude Browne Photography based in nearby Omagh and after a stop at Murvagh Beach we popped over to Mullinasole for a few photos on the Pier and then into the Salmon Inn where groom Richy showed off his skills behind the bar! Cars were provided by Diamond Travel Enniskillen.
On arrival to the Abbey Hotel in Donegal Town we checked out the stunning ballroom with a lovely autumnal theme for the day and after a tasty wedding meal Justin McGurk got back into action with his band The Boogiemen this time and the lively crowd packed the floor for the night. Best wishes to Elaine & Richy for a long and happy future together.
