Ally and Kieran fairly waited for their big day – but this fantastic wedding was really was worth the wait! This lovely couple are from Donegal but being based in Australia they had to postpone their wedding date. But delighted for them that all went so wonderfully and they were able to have the wedding that they dreamt off on their visit back home in Donegal in August 2022. Happy to share the Wedding Video Highlight Film here.
Ally got ready at the family home in Drumbarron near Frosses in Co Donegal. A lovely location in the countryside under the Bluestack Mountains but only a few mins from their church in the middle of Frosses. Makeup was by Emma Kelly and Hair was by Frances Norby. The beautiful dress was from Brides by Design in Perth Australia and the Shoes by Harlo and Earrings by A.B. Ellie.
The Maid of Honour was the bride’s twin sister Angeline and the bridesmaids were Marie Harley, Denise Costello and Sarah Shovlin.
At the opposide side of Donegal Town in Laghey the dapper groom Kieran Brogan was getting prepared with Best Man his brother Darragh. The groomsmen were Lee Dohety, Ciaran Boyle and Mark McCrea. Once ready the lads made their way over to St Mary’s Church in Frosses to greet the arriving guests.
Fr James Sweeney PP concelebrated the Nuptial Mass with Fr Adrian Gavigan PP of Kieran’s parish of Drumholm. A few fun moments when groom Kieran accidentally dropped the ring! And then Ally went in for the kiss a little early! But thankfully Fr Sweeney kept them right and all went smoothly! Máirín Kerrigan, Gerry Meehan and Ronan Galvin provided the entertaining music for the ceremony including a lively jig for the happy couple walking down the aisle.
Photographer was Fergal McGrath and we went to Muckross Head for the Bridal Party Photoshoot on the sea cliffs. A beautiful location any day but the appearance of dolphins around the headland made the visit all the more magical. Lawler Chauffer provided the vintage bus which ferried the bridal party around for the day.
Soon it was time for the arrival at the Blue Haven Hotel in Largy, Kilcar ,where the drinks reception was in full flow and once everyone was fed it was time for ‘Witness This’ Wedding band to get the party rocking.
Many thanks to Ally and Kieran for chosing me to video this special day and delighted to be your wedding videographer for this beautiful day on the North West Coast of Ireland.
