Waterside Derry Wedding // J&A

A big congratulations to Joanne and Anthony who celebrated their Derry Wedding on 12th January 2019 with reception in Donegal. The happy couple are part of the renowned Cullen’s Funfairs. Withe the nature of their work all the family events like weddings must happen during the early parts of the year!

Bride Joanne Cullen got ready at home in Derry with Chief Bridesmaid Leanne Cullen and Bridesmaids Caroline Doherty Laura Duffy and Flower girls Lily-Mae, Esme and Abbie-Rae. There was also a fly on the wall documentary being filmed for the BBC on the day. This was entitled ‘The Last Showmen’ and can be viewed on the BBC player. it was an interesting experience seeing how these productions are put together. As my style is so observational and discreet it didn’t affect me at all which was great.

Waterside Church

The wedding mass was celebrated by Fr Michael Cannay. It was held in the Waterside Parish in Derry on Chapel Road. This is a lovely Church and is set up with a long central nave and aisles at each side. There is a big altar area and to the left is another seating area. There is also room for musicians here. Music was by Steven O’Carolyn and Family and afterwards it was off with Linsdale Wedding Cars to the reception at the beautiful Harvey’s Point.
